Frets on Fire - Free Guitar Hero Clone
Aug 23, 2008 Games
Frets on Fire is a popular computer game where players use the keyboard to play along songs with on-screen musical notes.
It’s best known as a Guitar Hero video game clone. Frets on Fire is free open-source software.
Frets on Fire is made to be played with the keyboard positioned like a guitar, with one hand pressing the fret buttons and with another pressing the pick button. There is also support for joysticks, which means that you can use Guitar Hero controllers (with the appropriate adapter and/or software).

You can download it from www.fretsonfire.sourceforge.net. It’s available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS.

I have known about Frets on Fire for quite a while now, but have never tried it out. I’ll get the latest version in a while and see how it’s gonna play with my Laptop!
No, I’ll connect an external keyboard!
